2020, the year of intimate weddings and I’m not mad about it! Nicole and Michael had to postpone their wedding like many brides & grooms due to COVID. After months of postponing the two decided on a small and intimate wedding in her mother’s home with breathtaking views of the Santa Monica Mountains. It truly was incredible! Although everyone couldn’t attend in person, extended family and friends tuned into their live stream of their ceremony to witness their “I do’s”.
I feel like it was fate that I captured Nicole’s wedding! I was actually their THIRD photographer!! Their first photographer they booked straight up didn’t show up for their engagement session! Say what!? Then their second was no longer available after they had to postpone for COVID. Third, enter ME! After booking, Nicole and I started to chat, we realized that I actually went to 6th grade with her! So it was so fun capturing her special day!
Their ceremony was so sweet!! Nicole and Michael got married under a chuppah that Michael built and Nicole flowered. Nicole actually did all of the florals and set up for their wedding! (She could be a florist, ammi right???) They had the most epic breaking of the glass that I have ever captured and their dog Bailey was the “Best Dog”. I mean everything was amazing!!
Nicole, Michael, and I also decided last minute to head to a fire trail near by for some photos after the ceremony and Nicole was sooo happy that we did. It was so special to steal them away for a few and capture some gorgeous bride and groom portraits!
I loved capturing their special intimate wedding! It was the perfect day to celebrate their love!
