Some weddings are beautiful. Others are effortless. Alissa and Troy’s was both.
Set against the beautiful Inn at the Mission San Juan Capistrano, their wedding was a masterclass in understated luxury—neutral tones, lush florals, and an ambiance that felt like an intimate gathering in the Italian countryside.
Alissa and Troy were high school sweethearts. When Troy proposed, he made sure it was done right. He flew in Alissa’s best friend from Chicago, set them up with a spa day, and had her thinking they were headed to a nice dinner. Instead, she arrived to find Troy waiting with roses and champagne.
They exchanged vows in a ceremony that was simple and intentional, surrounded by the people who know them best. For portraits, we moved to the stunning ruins of the Mission San Juan Capistrano, where the historic stonework and soft, natural light was the perfect palate to match their neutral decor.
The reception? Imagine walking into a space where the air itself smells like fresh florals, where tray-passed espresso martinis keep the energy high, and where guests don’t just dance—they salsa.
As a photographer, I get to witness a lot of beautiful weddings, but what made this one unforgettable wasn’t just the setting or the details—it was the people. Alissa, Troy, and every single guest brought an energy that was equal parts graceful, joyful, and wildly fun. It’s one thing to create a wedding that looks stunning. It’s another thing to create a wedding that feels this good.
Alissa and Troy, your day was classic, timeless, and simply stunning
